What:  Mombaroccio Village of Heroes:  Saving the Family Sarano

When:  Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Where:  American Italian Heritage Association and Museum, 227 Central Ave., Albany

Description:  La Rabinessa Liora Kelman of Congregation Beth Israel will share her family history of survival.  The Saranos of Milan were saved in the small Italian village of Mombaroccio during the Holocaust.  A reception will be held following the program.  This event is free and open to the public.

 

What:  4th annual Rosh Chodesh Women’s Program.

When:  Tuesday, May 15 from  7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Where:  Congregation Beth Shalom, 688 Clifton Park Rd., Clifton Park

Description:  The Rosh Chodesh Groups of Congregations Agudat Achim, Beth Israel, Beth Shalom, Gates of Heaven and the Schenectady JCC invite you to the 4th annual Rosh Chodesh Women’s Program.  The theme will be Portraits of our Mothers.  Please bring photos or momentos of your mother.  Please RSVP Liora Kelman at larabinessa@aol.com or 518-982-5741.  A light dessert will be served.
